Gerbrecht’s literary work focuses on matrilineal bloodlines, the fallibility of memory, and womanhood. As a writer, she is interested in braiding oral storytelling traditions with the written word. Often, she uses or deconstructs photography in her writing. Gerbrecht writes micro fiction, short stories, and novels. She is currently querying her first book and working on her second.
