As both an artist and an educator, Gerbrecht understands how to encourage students through thought-provoking discussions, art history lectures, and exercises that will aid each student in discovering their own artistic voice. The art classes she’s taught over her eight-plus-year-long career have fostered this idea, attempting to create an artistic dialogue on the individual student level, interacting with artwork as a class, and, finally, on the larger scale of art history. Her goal is to aid students in thinking critically and creatively by developing their aesthetic awareness.
